28th Annual Asian Festival, 2008.

The Wichita Asian Association presented its 28th Annual Asian Festival on Saturday, Oct 25th, from 5:30 to 10:00 P.M., at Century II, Convention Center. This was an opportunity to enjoy entertainment and experience cultural enrichment.

Program

Cultural Events: Dances, songs and martial arts from various Asian countries. There were 14 of these stage presentations.
Miss Asia Scholarship Pageant: Participants from 10 countries participated in Miss Asia Scholarship Pageant. They presented their talent show in addition to being interviewed. Congratulation to Miss Korea on winning the 2008 Miss Asia Scholarship Pageant title.
Special Events: Calligraphy, hand and face decoration and other unique activities were conducted.
Food: 29 food booths representing about 10 countries and 5 art, jewelry and garment booths were set up. This was the only time and place Wichita got to taste authentic and exotic Asian food, all under one roof.
