Wichita River Festival 2008

The Wichita Asian Association has been participating in the River Festival Sun Down Parade. Elaborate floats of dragon, melting pot, Korean garden etc., were made and paraded. In 2008 the parade theme was “Go Green” and promoted environmental protection. Participants walk in their colorful native costumes.

WAA’s participation in River Festival sends a message that the Asian Association is inclusive and takes part in mainstream cultural activities.
